Mission #1: Engage Thine Audience!
King Oracion’s subjects are in peril! Though always existing, the Cult of Copula recently spreads deadly amounts of passiveness to the kingdom of Fiction Vortex.
In moderation and when appropriate the engagement of the Cult of Copula’s deities—Be, Was, Were, to name a few—form a crucial part in our Wordsmith magic. Jam Esb’s spies have poisoned the mind of By, the Cult’s High Druid. Now By brings imbalance to the Cult of Copula and to the kingdom.
By teaches that objects are far more important than the King’s subjects. And the subjects believe him, losing their motivation, their allure, and becoming completely uninteresting. And no one likes an uninteresting subject, especially not the Readers, that precious audience so crucial to Fiction Vortex’s commerce.
A Wordsmith can recognize this passive plague when an object is placed before the subject. Further yet, By’s presence is most likely evident, if not implied.
The King calls upon you, his Wordsmiths, to restore balance to the kingdom. Bring back the subjects’ sense of importance. You will raise them up when you bring By to his knees. Haste! Your success is crucial to maintain our Readers and save Fiction Vortex.
