Winner of the November 2014 Editor’s Choice Award

It was an interesting month, with some unsetting stories. But we’ve settled on the winner of the Editor’s Choice Award for November 2014. You’ll be wanting to know who that is, right?

Wait no longer; the winner is:

To Forever, by Mary DeSantis

This is a deceptive little story because at first it seems overly simple and incomplete. But as the story progresses, it becomes clear that all the color imagery is more than a crutch or a misdirection. Instead, it’s a remarkable allegory that uses unusual elements to tell a very recognizable tale. Whether it’s about love, ambition, fear of change, or something else is up for you to decide. Regardless, it’s a good story.

Congratulations to Mary, and our thanks to all our authors and readers. Speaking of which, don’t forget to cast your vote for the best story of November in our Reader’s Choice Poll.
